Our History Experience

Our story began in 1973 with a realization: Succession planning is about far more than finances and legal documents.

Loyd Rawls, our founder, noticed that many business owners avoided tough conversations for fear of creating conflict. As a result, he built a firm to help navigate these complex discussions and support long-term success.

Since then, The Rawls Group has helped over 500 family-owned and private businesses have important talks and achieve long-term success.

Today, we are a multi-generational business ourselves, with offices in Orlando, Los Angeles, Des Moines, and Atlanta.

Our team brings together expertise in psychology, family therapy, estate planning, and strategic growth — all aligned with a single purpose: succession planning.

Industries We Serve

Our expert team works with capital-intensive, complex business environments across a wide range of industries, including:

Our goal has been and continues to be to impact lives and perpetuate legacies.

Our Mission

We exist to help your business grow stronger, your family stay united, and your legacy live on.

Growth – Whether building strength or scale, a business always seeks to increase value.

Family – A business is only as strong as the people behind it.

Succession Planning Is a Process — Not Just a Transaction

Transferring your business to the next generation involves much more than signatures and paperwork. We go beyond the transaction to help you build the foundation of success that will carry through generations.

Succession Planning Builds Value

Our comprehensive approach evaluates and refines every area of your business that contributes to long-term value.

We review your business from ten unique angles regarding succession planning. This approach allows us to spot challenges, reduce risks, and boost performance.

As your environment evolves, we help you adapt — ensuring your strategy stays aligned with your goals.

Our Team

Expertise about interpersonal-management to business-financial issues is necessary for addressing your succession planning goals. Our diverse group of skilled professionals partners with you and your advisors to create the team you need.
