It is easy to get caught up in what other people think. You are humming along feeling good about yourself and what you are doing, and then WAP surprisingly, you hear someone is offended or took on a completely different meaning than what you expected. Your integrity and intentions were from a place of doing good, and then thru the lenses of interpretation, someone turned or twisted it into something different. Every person has a different map of the world, which influences how they interpret behavior, words, and circumstances.
When you care about others, whether friends, family, or team members, the line between relating and your identity can easily be blurred. Listen to “Your Tribe’s” conversation about their experiences in building relationships and overcoming the “what other people think” dilemma, how they practice grounding and connecting with their purpose and identity.
